Dermal Fillers

Fillers are among the most popular treatments in aesthetic medicine because they can produce a dramatically more youthful and refreshed appearance in a 20 – 30-minute office procedure.

While Botox, Dysport and Xeomin can produce fantastic results, many people find they also need to combine them with a dermal filler to get their optimal results.

Dermal fillers can improve a wide variety of creases and wrinkles, such as smile lines, lip lines and nasolabial lines (parenthesis).

In addition to wrinkle reduction, dermal fillers can be also used to replace lost volume. With aging there is a loss of volume in the face, specifically loss of fat in cheekbones, crevices or hollowness under the eyes and drawn or tight lips. With dermal fillers, the volume of youth can be restored to these areas, and dramatically lessen the signs of facial aging.

As Dr. Capone focuses exclusively on the face, he has a tremendous expertise both with facial injections and with facial structure and can use his expertise to achieve outstanding results with dermal fillers.

We Offer the Following Dermal Fillers:

Juvederm®, Belotero®, Voluma®, Volbella® & Vollure®

Juvederm, Belotero, Voluma, Volbella, and Vollure can improve the look of wrinkles and can replace lost volume. These dermal fillers are made with hyaluronic acid gel that is almost identical to what is naturally found in the human body.

There are many areas of the face that can improved with HA fillers: worry lines, pebbly chin, lines around mouth, receding lips, thin lips, lip lines/ smoker’s lines, sagging cheekbones, tear troughs, dark circles under eyes, smile creases and marionette lines (jowls).

The individual characteristics of each varies; one filler may be better suited to your area of concern than another. At your injectable consultation, Dr. Capone and his staff can discuss these treatments and assist you in making the choice that will enable you to reach your goals.

Restylane is intended to fill facial wrinkles, augment cheeks, and correct age-related midface contour deficiencies. Restylane has several products in their family of fillers – each is good for helping correct certain problems.

Restylane Silk

Restylane Silk is a filler intended to help achieve smoother, silkier, natural-looking lips and can really assist with structure to the vermillion border for more mature lips. The FDA has approved it for lip augmentation as well as the smoothing of mouth wrinkles. It can take up to 4 weeks after the initial injects to see full results.

Restylane Lyft

Restylane Lyft is designed to help correct volume loss and treat face wrinkles. Over time the fact that surrounds the cheeks can deteriorate which results in saggy skin, more visible wrinkles, and less overall volume. Lyft can add fullness to the midface and cheek area as well as correct smile lines.

Restylane Refyne

Refyne helps soften laugh lines while at the same time adding a more natural look to your face. It will not “freeze” your face and will allow it to maintain facial expressions. Refyne helps correct the lines that go from the sides of your nose to the corners of your mouth along with the lines that go from the corner of the mouth to the chin.

Restylane Defyne

Defyne can smooth out deep laugh lines and restore a mouth youthful looking appearance to your face. It will help maintain the natural facial expressions without it looking like you had work done.

Raidesse ®

Radiesse is a calcium based filler that provides immediate volume correction and stimulates the growth of your own natural collagen. The result is immediate and lasts up to 1½ years. Dr. Capone uses Radiesse for deeper folds and larger areas of where volume is needed. Radiesse is slightly more expensive than HA fillers, but the results typically last a few months longer.

Bellafil in intended for people who have smile lines (aka “Marionette lines”) and noticeable acne scars. It uses a blend of 2 components: 80% collagen and 20% microspheres. The collagen goes to work immediately after being injected. It adds a natural-looking volume to soften acne scars or smile lines.

As time goes by, your body will metabolize the collagen, but the results will remain the same. The results can last up through 1 year and is the only injectable filler that is FDA approved to treat acne scars.

Sculptra Aesthetic is a poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), that replaces collagen lost during the aging process. Sculptra is the first FDA approved treatment for restoration and correction of the signs of facial fat loss.

Sculptra works primarily through stimulating your body’s natural collagen growth. Sculptra is injected into the area of fat loss and replaces lost collagen, restores volume and refines lines.

Sculptra reinforces the structure of the skin, and providing a gradual increase in skin’s thickness. Depending upon the volume loss and desired result, patients typically require 2 to 3 treatments of Sculptra, but the results can last for up to two years.

Kybella is a filler that’s designed for people who are unhappy with the fat under their chin. This condition can make people look much older than they actually are. Kybella works great in people who eat well and exercise regularly but the submental fullness (fat under the chin) refuses to go away. It is a great alternative to expensive surgery.

Actual treatment will be tailored to the amount of fat under the chin coupled with the aesthetic goals of the patient. In clinical studies, 59% of patients received 6 Kybella treatments.
