About Dr. Kress

dr. kressDonald W. Kress, MD is a board certified plastic surgeon who offers high quality body plastic surgery for patients who want to improve their look and quality of life through a cosmetic procedure.   Dr. Kress obtained his medical degree in 1976 from West Virginia School of Medicine.  He then completed an internship in General Surgery, followed by a General Surgery/Plastic Surgery residency at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.   He subsequently completed a Microsurgery Fellowship in San Francisco, California and was certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1982.   Dr. Kress is an active member of The American Society of Plastic Surgery, The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, The American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery, along with local and regional societies. Dr. Kress is a specialist in breast enhancement, breast augmentation, tummy tucks, liposuction and body contouring.

Founder of the Kress Cosmetic Breast Center in Frederick, Maryland, Dr. Kress is one of only a handful of investigators involved in the original development of the innovative and highly successful Cohesive Gel (“gummy bear”) implant, and is a Clinical Advisor to several companies in the breast industry.  In conjunction with the development of his implant, he has made several high profile television appearances, including MTV and Fox5.  Dr. Kress is very active in the international field of plastic surgery, participating in educational programs in Russia, Brazil, Turkey, South Africa, Europe and Canada.  Dr. Kress is also the author of a recently published patient guide, Trust Me I’m a Plastic Surgeon, aimed a educating all patients considering plastic surgery.   In his spare time, Dr. Kress enjoys traveling and sailing with his wife.
